We are remodeling our home page. There may be a few links not yet working. We hope to correct that soon but all of the other pages are working. Thank you for your patience! Welcome to readers of Today's Christian Living magazine.
Helping Hands Unlimited is all about serving those in need while sharing God's love with the people we are serving. We have Dominican Republic Mission Trips to help the orphanages and Christian Schools we work with. We do teacher training and medical trips. We also take teams to repair homes as part of an outreach program from a local Dominican church. We also do very similar programs with The Rachel Project in Kenya and we also find ways to serve the poor in the U.S.
Where do children go when they have no home or no family. Most generally they end up on the street. They do not go to school. They hang out with the wrong people. Maybe get involved with drugs or crime or worse. There are places where children can go to seek shelter, love, care, food, education, and God. Helping Hands Unlimited has partnered with two orphanages in the Dominican Republic; The Bethesda Home for Girls (Bethesda Hogar de Niñas) and the Love Your Neighbor Home for Children (Ama de Tu Projima Hogar de Niños). They are making a huge difference in the lives of the children they serve.
While gifts from friends like you are essential to our ministry, there’s a special blessing in being able to work beside those we seek to serve. That’s why one of the most popular ministries of Helping Hands Unlimited is short-term mission trips to impoverished communities. If you, your church or ministry would like to experience the blessing of working with the people we serve, Helping Hands Unlimited can help you organize your trip. We can take you to the locations where we currently have projects underway, or we can help you organize a trip to the location of your choice. The next step is to find out more.
Helping Hands Unlimited believes that one of the best ways to improve living conditions in a community is to educate its children. A good education provides children with a lifelong benefit and is a proven method for breaking the cycle of poverty that locks children into a seemingly hopeless life of unfulfilled dreams. While the education our partner schools offers provides children with all the tools they need to succeed in life, as a Christian organization, we believe children need to learn more than the basics of reading, writing, and math. We want them to learn about Christ and His love for them.
