Christian Schools

Dominican Republic

Helping Hands Unlimited believes that one of the best ways to improve living conditions in a community is to educate its children. A good education provides children with a lifelong benefit and is a proven method for breaking the cycle of poverty that locks children into a seemingly hopeless life of unfulfilled dreams.

While the education our partner schools offers provides children with all the tools they need to succeed in life, as a Christian organization, we believe children need to learn more than the basics of reading, writing, and math. We want them to learn about Christ and His love for them. Therefore, in addition to providing an excellent education, all of our partner schools teach and model Christian values to each child.

Helping Hands Unlimited does not own any of these schools.  They are all owned and operated by local Dominican organizations and boards.  HHU is primarily involved in providing a Student Sponsorship Program for each school.  HHU has basic requirements but the primary qualifications are they need to meet the government requirements for schools and they need to share God’s love with their students while giving each student an excellent education.  HHU does monitor the school’s financial reports and helps the schools with other needs, such as occasionally sending teams to help with their building and maintenance needs.

Ways to Become Involved

The easiest way to become involved is to sponsor as many children as you can in one of the Christian schools we work with.  These sponsorships help keep these schools open to all of the children in their communities. These schools provide an excellent education in a safe, Christian environment.  Parents prefer to send their children to these schools.  These schools are making a difference in the lives of these children and their families.
