Mission trips are a great way to put your faith into action. Whatever your talent, we will try to find a way to use it to help people that really can benefit from your help.
Helping Hands Unlimited is experienced in planning and coordinating trips. All of our trips have been to the Dominican Republic but we are open to planning trips to other countries you may be interested in. We regularly serve medical, surgical, construction, and youth teams (or combinations of those). We are open to other opportunities as well. These teams sometimes combine together and that works well. Even though the idea is to get some work accomplished, we find that one of the most important parts of any trip is relationship building. And of course, we know God is going to use these trips in special ways. He will use them to minister to the people we are helping. The added blessing is God will also work in the hearts of the trip participants.
Helping Hands Unlimited can come up with many ideas of places and projects you can do. We are also interested in listening to your ideas and see how they can be incorporated in your trip. There is no such thing as a "canned" trip. Each group and its needs are unique. We will plan your trip specifically for your group, customizing it to meet your desires. If your trip does not fit the "normal" trips, we hope you will still bring us your ideas and give us the opportunity to put together a meaningful trip for you.
The area Helping Hands Unlimited is currently working in is the southern coast, the western area and the eastern parts of the Dominican Republic. We have been working with ministries from several denominations as well as independent ministries. We have a number of requested projects with churches and schools. These projects are not just limited to construction needs. We have requests for medical, surgical, and youth teams. We can put your team where they will be most effective.
We also have some great places to stay in. We currently have access to guesthouses in Santo Domingo, La Romana, Barahona and other locations that are available for your team to call home. These places are close to some of the projects we are interested in. We can also take you to other locations, maybe sleeping in homes or churches. In every case, the food is great and the hospitality is excellent.
