The most immediate needs right now are food and corrugated roofing materials.  All of the families lost everything in their homes. With the heavy rains, there came severe flooding, destroying everything in their homes, including their food supply.  Many homes either lost their roof or it was severely damaged.  

The damage is so widespread that available help and supplies are spread very thin.  Como Quiera is so far out in the sugar cane fields that it will be one of the last places to get help.
